Well Badger a whole day and not a bit of new

I will keep a constant eye open for him - especially the trade directories.

Is there a census record for that grand house I mentioned?

I noticed in his death cert that he wa also listed as Domestic Servant so could be a possiblity, may even be household records?

Will try again tomorrow.

Thought of that.  Have heard from Sandringham who gave me Royal Archives e-mail, but it bounced back, so will send by post.

Checked the census ... still looking into that.  And have gotten BT.com HURN in the area of Thorpe Market.  Will write to see if anyone a rellie.  Did the same for HEARNE in Kent (none listed in Westerham).

Hi Badger

One little thing I came across whilst doing the post office hunt.

1841 & 1851 

Royal Mail apparantly have a very good archive center with records going back to 1719!

They have appointment books, with a central register for each employee. (Introduced in 1831).  (I'm hoping it may give up some personal details?)
