Hi Ed,

Don't know if there is any connection, but I have Adam Leighton marrying Cathrine Ridley on 25 Jul 1764 Washington.

Cathrine Ridley possibly chr 25 Nov 1742 Sunderland Holy Trinity - possible father John Ridley, possible mother Ann Newcombe.

The Ridley I have is an Edward Ridley living in the Lumley 6th pit area in the late 1800's so not sure if there is a connection.

all my robinsons decend from Frank Robinson (1846-1919) and Louisa Cook...  they lived around wingate, deaf hill and cornforth areas mostly.  do you have any links to the area?  maybe i have some relatives in my tree
