HEllo Ed
I'm interested in the Cummins family from Witton le Wear who ended up in the villages around CLS, mainly Waldridge, but also Sacriston, Edmondsley and Plawsworth as well as Pelton Fell area.

Thomas Cummins married Elizabeth Robinson
Anthony Cummings married Jame Leddy
Henry Cummins married Margaret Soulsby
Richard Cummings married Mary Davidson
George Cummin married Sarah Robinson
Jane Cummings married Henry Dodds

There are also 2 other sisters, Elizabeth and Isabel who are not yet accounted for, and a step sister, Mary Ann Alderson, who married Thomas Adamson.

Regards,
Brenda

Hi,

There's no connections that I know of anyway, so far.

Closest Hannah Cummings i have was born 1842 in Nova Scotia, Durham daughter of Robert Cummings.

around the turn of the century all stephensons in my tree were living in easington village, i'm not aware of any living in chester le street.  Don't have any Pattison Cruddace links either.  Although i do have a Margaret Ann Cummings who married Matthew Cruddace in 1921 in Easington, Durham

I believe Edward Ridley was my great great grandfather: William was his son, he married Margaret Tempest and their son was Swinborne, my grandfather
Byram - Knottingley
Wood - Hunslet
Ridley - Durham/Northumberland
Tempest - Durham

Hello Claretnblue

Which McCombs line in Sherburn Hill are you researching? My husband's line is the family of James and Isabella McCombs.
