old army hospital photo thats needs dating
« on: Sunday 24 February 08 15:40 GMT (UK) »
hello all

please look at this photo , my husbands auntie Ellen gave to me in a packet with lots of old family photos but sadly  nothing is known about this photo

we don't have a yr a place  or if any of the family  men are in it

could anyone help be  trying to see which army section  some of the men  were in i can see on the hats that they have different badge's on but thats about it ,
can anyone tell me where i could take the  photo so some one could look at it to give us a clue

when i look at the photo i think how brave these men are to have gone to war and how happy they look just to be in a little bit of peace, be for some would have had to go back and fight

brave thats all i can say brave just like are soldiers today

thanks for looking at my picture  and reading my message

Hi Angie

If you read Cazzas tutorial on scanning, she tells you how to reduce the size of your pics -

Sounds like your picture would probably be better posted on to the Armed Services board. Someone on there would probably be able to help you!

Best wishes, Judy :-))

Hi Angie,
I'd guess the photo was taken about 1915.
It's probably a Convalescence Hospital.
Many large family homes were used as hospitals and convalescence hospitals
during the first world war.
Someone may recognize the house.
