Hi Netta,

Best regards George
Scan at 300 plus for restores please. Scan at larger dpi for small photos. Don't forget to crop the scanner bed out! (Them's the white bits)
Please feel free to alter any work by me for the benefit of the Poster.

Too little definition to be sure, but here's a digital painting of what I think he may have looked like.

I keep looking at this one , the eye's, brow and hairline are really quite good, what if I emailed you a photo of him would that help   ???

That would help enormously. If you post it here, everyone will be able to have a go.

The first picture here is just not quite clear enough to give an indication of the most important facial landmarks, the mouth, nose and chin, so another image of him would be very useful

Here you go Netta,

I've managed to come up with this (final, hopefully) recreation after dragging as much information as I could out of your photo

Is this anywhere close?

Glen

***REPOSTED PICTURE***

I've thinned his lips down quite a bit and added some more detail to the unifom and medals

And here's a small trial of a coloured version, proudly displaying his Pip, Squeak and Wilfred

Glad its getting there slowly, Netta

I'll thin them down a bit when I get home later.

Must admit, now I look at it again, they do look a little too much!
