Hi Bryant

Thank you for the reply

Since I posted the queery I have found Eliza Goodman on the 1841 census in Derbyshire also her marriage in Bonsall Derbyshire in 1823. Its the actual parish records for Hanover Square I require a look up in to see if she is there. as she has her place of birth as this parishin the 1851 census

Thank You again for the reply

I know it is a long time you requested information on Eliza, but she is my 2nd Great Grandmother. I too are stuck back in 1801 London. I wonder if you found anything out about her birth.

Thanks

Dave

I note that Eliza is in the 1851 census with George Robinson (engineer) and Mary Ann Walsh (age 12) in Derby. Is there a marriage for Eliza Marsh (nee Goodman) to George Robinson?
If so, that marriage record should provide the name of Eliza's father and his occupation. Which should hopefully narrow your search for her London birth/baptism.

I also note that Eliza's 1823 marriage to Richard Marsh indicates both were "sojourners" when they married. As such, they hadn't been in the Bonsall parish very long. Possibly a few weeks or less.

Has anyone found Richard and Eliza in the 1841 census? Just curious if he was from Derbyshire.

George Robinson and Eliza Marsh married Sept. qtr. 1849 Derby - marriage took place in register office so no details online.   You'd have to purchase copy of the marriage certificate.

As regards the 1823 marriage, Eliza signed her name, which is interesting. Unfortunately, the record doesn't indicate bachelor or widower status for Richard. Given that he was much older than Eliza, I wonder if he'd been married before.
