I posted some information about SS Philip and Jacob on another post (Packhorse Cottages), but I can't cut and paste what I wrote there and I don't see how I can give you the link.

Go to search rootschat above, put Philip and Jacob in the search and Canuc as author an it will come up (5th of September I posted).

Basically, Tewksbury is a fair way north of Bristol. Bristol was the south end of Gloucestershire, Tewksbury is at its northern extremity. If the Tewksbury entry is yours how did he end up in Bristol, Gloucester was a big city by comparison to T'bury what took him further south to Bristol?

Canuc, thank you for the link i have printed it off so i can look back at this info.also i don't know if Tewksbury entry anything to do with mine yet,as my Edward Walker [c1805]states he from Bristol Gloucester england in the census he been in,i wanted to find the 1851 census hoping his family would still be in st Philip and Jacob parish and hoping they would give me more info there,but up to this minute i not had much luck in locating the 1851 but thank you for your link it was very kind of you to help Lorraine

allibaker thank you for this info.I have already found the the men in redruth,its the mother and the other children i wanted to find in 1851 and in the St Philip and jacob parish i thinking but up to now no one seems to have the 1851 census of this parish,thank you anyway for keeping your eyes out for them its greatly appreicated
