' so then I assumed that Georges Father was George 1795 yatley.'

Assumed in family history terms basically means I don't know, or at best I have little or no evidence to prove it. Which if you are not careful means 'I will shoe horn' something into fit anyway.

If somebody says they are born in Greenford that really isn't the same as Shoreditch which is now in the East End of the centre of London, but was then just outside the square mile of the City of London. Greenford Middlesex is way out on the west side of Greater London towards Heathrow airport.
Neither is Basingstoke the same as Yateley.
They really are not good matches and pursuing family history this way just means inevitably you will begin to research someone elses family or families' history.

The IGI is a very imperfect index with coverage of some of these Middlesex parishes none existant. Coverage of Hampshire parishes for instance pre 1813 is at best around 43% of some parishes which are covered for some periods. In other counties the coverage drops as low as 2%. In others it is much higher.
Just because you haven't found a match from the IGI doesn't mean there isn't a baptism to find it just means it isn't on the IGI.

Russell,
As per Valda's find "Perry Wate" should in fact be Perivale ...
And Valda's find of the family in 1851, I think should read Mattock Lane ...

Contact the London Metropolitan Archives and see whether the registers have been deposited.

The parish registers for Holy Cross Church Greenford are still with the church and have not been deposited or filmed.

I've got the name and address details of the parish archivist, if you need them please let me know. Although he does look-ups, it's a nice idea if you make a donation to the church for doing so.
