Mitchell Library Glasgow
« on: Thursday 21 February 08 22:24 GMT (UK) »
Is there anyone who visits the Mitchell Library who could try to find some info for me. I'm told that the Mitchell has extensive records perhaps anyone who uses them might like to comment.

Many thanks
Kerr, Cannon, Antrobus, Clark, McLean, McInroy, Jackson, McLeod.
All in the Greenock area from 1790 on.

Thanks I've pretty much determined the Mitchell holds what I want but is not on line so I guess I need someone who visits there and knows the lay of the land.

Thank you so much. Archibald Kerr was a Joiner or Wright possibly with his own business which may show in a Glasgow street or postal directory in the 1800 to 1808 period. He died 24th Feb 1808 in ?Glasgow? which I hope may be recorded in the Newspaper of around that time. Say up to a week or two after the event.
I'm in your hands as to what you may find and am most grateful for anything you may find.
