I am researching the family name of Maskey. I have got back to about 1800 when the family was living in Clerkenwell London. I am pretty sure that the family moved from Lincolnshire to London at about that time, but have not yet been able to make any confirmed links.

If you have any info, can we swap our research details?

A late response but it's the first time that I have tried this, I have a Elizabeth (Betsy) Fisher who married William Winkley Glaskin in Long Sutton 8/06/1836.

Hi Rids,

My FISHER connection is a generation before yours.
Elizabeth FISHER married John MASKEY 1779 at Long Sutton.

John died in 1786 and Elizabeth then married Richard WINFREY.

My connection stems from the first marriage and her son John b 1785.
He was  sentenced in 1805 to transportation to New South Wales for stealing stockings and gloves.

Your BETSY could be some connection to my Elizabeth, but unfortunately I have no idea how as yet.

Looking for information on the Ream family of Long Sutton, Lincolnshire.

I have a William Ream and Betsy Wroot married in Long Sutton in 1811 and they have eight children.

Can anyone do an 1841 or 1851 look-up on the census for me and see if you can locate them.

I am wondering if he is the same William Ream from Gedney, Lincolnshire, who is married to an Ann and has nine children between 1789 and 1808. William and Betsy's first child is christened in Gedney.

Any more info on the Reams of Long Sutton always appreciated.

Hello Geoff,

Have you anything on Mahala SMITH christened Long Sutton  (according to the LDS IGI) on 18 Nov 1826.  Her parents were stated as Thos. Smith and Dinah Phillis.

Trawling through other Smiths of Long Sutton I came across what might be her siblings, namely Elizabeth (chr 3 Aug 1830), William Bowles (chr 2 Dec 1818 and Dinah (chr 11 Oct 1824) parents were all Thomas and Dinah Phillis.

Other possibilities were Lewis (chr 6 Jul 1823, Long Sutton) parents Thomas and Diana, and Ephraim (chr 9 Sep 1816, Long Sutton) parents Thomas and Dyphenes.

Please surprise me and say you have buckets of fresh information for this family.

Her father Thomas maybe of interest though.
My SMITH connection comes with the marriage of Thomas MASKEY & Ann SMITH in 1803.

This is a generation before your family.
When you get back a further generation maybe we can help each other out.
