Could this be Thomas Jeffery and family in 1851? I realise the birthplaces don't fit, but "Jane' could be Ganey, and Mark is the right age.

Rambler
Just to up date on this find which is really good it has solved a part of family thanks to Rambler
although I was looking surname Jeffery but now realise they used variant names :
Thomas Jeffry was the one I was looking for regarding his Son Mark Jeffry
Mark married a Ganey ( Janey) Stanley had 5 children together 4 girls & boy which I have information on
In abt 1888 in USA he then remarried Esther Buckland daughter of Tenant & Keziah Buckland ( my family)
Keziah just for interest is also known as Cassia
cont:
But from 1851 Census I have found that Thomas Jeffy was 1st married to a Ganey Wells (Jane) he then went on to marry Amelia Stanley here in England and lived their Lives in USA Amelia was daughter of Levi Stanley & Matilda Joles - Levi was son of Owen Stanley & Harriet Wharton ( Famous for being King & Queen in USA Ohio)
I know that in my family On Grans side that a James Stanley also married a Unity Wells they were my great great Grandparents
So maybe Janey & Untiy are sisters or stem from same family
Thomas also had another Son called William born 1856 which I hadn't found until now
The Family of Stanley Bryer & Penfold went across in 1856 on Osprey all listed
Thomas Jeffry was with his 2nd wife Amelia Stanley and 2 sons Mark & William although no ages given for the boys just enfants I didn;t know for sure if these were Amelia sons but now know that Mark was from 1st marriage but William could be son with Amelia gonig by his birth year,
At first I was thinking this isn;t same Thomas form 1851, but then noticed Henry Jeffs was listed aged 21 with wife Phillis although different name spelling this has to be Thomas brother from 1851 census and also further searching has found William Jeffry in 1880 Licking Ohio with his wife Mary Bryer who is daughter of John Bryer listed on Osprey with William Jeffry father Thomas
so thank to Rambler I have sorted another piece of Puzzle Thank you RAMBLER
This will next information will interest DEBS USA
On same passenger list Osprey is a Robert Penfold 24 with wife Fanny aged 20 and son John aged 1
DEBS I think this is Fiance Smith b 1835 the one we are waiting on marriage to see if she is daughter of James Smith , which if so makes her my Great Grand mothers sister
There is a William Penfold also listed aged 18/19 could this be Robert brother ?
The other interesting news is that a news paper report dated 1904 USA Ohio when Levi Stanley was buried makes reference to fact before they as family took on title of King & Queen
Before they arrived in USA the king or head of Tribe was BUCHANAN now I am again unable to prove this but would say that this is BUCKLAND so my family were in USA before Stanley and also King of the tribe
There is another report that backs this up in 1887 found in New York Times Archives
A band of Gypsies from Cornwall numbering 20 + were allowed to enter via Castle Garden ( this was prior to Ellis Island) the Chief was David Buckland and his leiutent was James Stanley
mentions about land in Ohio and they had a very large amount of money with them
Yet to find out about this David Buckland, I haven;t seen that as a name in family but I do wonder if its possible yet again did Tenant change his name ? but James Stanley could well be my Great Great Grandfather via my Grans side
So more to search and I think the answers are more likely to be across the water about my ancestors
