Hi Vivvie

Can you give any more details?

Ages of George and Mary Ann?
Marriage date and place?
George's occupation?
Any children and their details?
Why Ashington?

Regards

I have no birth or marriage details but,
George died in1932 in Ashington and possibly worked as a miner
Mary Ann died around 1948 in Ashington.
They had 12 children
Lowther
John
Mary Ann
Issac
Robert Hetherington b. 06 March 1911
Thomas Mansfield b. 22 March 1921
Betty
Georgina
Edward
Elsie
George
Sarah
I think the children are in age order just about anyhow.
That's all the info I have about them anything else you can tell me great  ;D
I wanted the Key family from Ashington in particular because I know that's whare my hushands family is from and that's where most of them lived and some still do.
Many thanks again Vivvie

Hi Vivvie

The 1901 Census index shows only two KEY families in Northumberland and neither family has a George.

I've tried different surname spellings (KEYS KAY) and still not found anything resembling names you've given.

You can search this index yourself at

www(.)1901census(.)nationalarchives(.)gov(.)uk/index(.)html (remove brackets)

It's possible George and Mary Ann were not married then -it might be a good idea to find their marriage first and move back fromthat.
