CABLE Joseph & MURPHY Mary Jane

Hi everyone
I am looking for the following. I hope someone can help me or lead me in the right direction.
CABLE Joseph b c1816 Leicester ??? UK, married MURPHY Mary Jane. He came out to Australia per the 'William Hammond' in 1856 as a Pensioner Guard to convicts enroute to Fremantle Western Australia. He retired from the British Army prior to becoming a Pensioner Guard. I believe he came out with at least two sons, John b 1849 (my gr grandfather) and William b c1847. I have the possible other children to Joseph and Mary:- Florence, Andrew, Joseph b 1860, Mary Jane b 1857 (my great grandmother) Edith, Arnold, Ernest, Edward and Elizabeth. 
I would appreciate anything on Joseph and Mary that anyone can find.

Can I just confirm I am reading this right?

you say Joseph and Mary had children including both John (your gr grandfather) and Mary Jane (your gr grandmother)
- how can they be siblings?

Can I ask where Mary Jane Murphy was born?

I don't know if you have it, but Joseph was born to  George & Frances Cabel who also had George Cabel  b14.7.1812 and Caroline Cable  b16.7.1807 both baptized at All Saints church Leicester.

Yeah a tricky one there. It seems that John's daughter
Grace (my dad's mum) and Mary's son Arthur (dad's father) were 1st cousins when they married. Apparently they spent a lot of time together growing up and fell in love, the rest is history!!

I think Mary was born in Fremantle WA after Joseph came out. Will check that when I get home and let you know. I'm at work at the moment.
I had someone in another site give me that info but I have not confirmed or checked it. I know the spelling can be different depending who made the records etc. Another family member doing the tree has gone with that and further back I think, but another family member says it is just speculation, so I'm confused.  ???
I will have to get her notes out and see how far back she has gone...
Thanks guys for all your help. Anything else you come up with will be gratefully received.
