Is it census information you want (to reveal his parents etc), or other detail ?

A quick look at the 1901 shows he was born c1874 Folkestone. He is a Laundry Foreman. 2 daughters Grace (3) and Olive (1)  .... they are in Hythe ...

No need for tears, Newfst!!

I received a PM last week from Maycroft saying she/he only had sketchy info on the children and would appreciate any more.
It has taken me till now to find out which thread it related to!

Actaully, Newfst, I can claim just a tinsy-winsy bit more interest in this one beyond that of just normal Rootschatter enthusiam to find out as much as possible from all available sources about anyone whose name is mentioned.
My maternal grandmother was a Pilcher from this part of Kent (Annie bn 1867), so I could well even be related to Maycroft!
It is not a line I had done any major research on, but after looking at this post I managed to go back another generation or so from the censuses with my Pilchers - something i had not done before.
So, thanks, MAycroft for stirring my interest!
