Hi Jonty 10,

Thanks for the information you posted, yes it was the  Sarah Fisher I was looking for.....I have a fair amount of information on the family ...... she married Samuel Ord 25/5/1818 - (her 2nd husband) Sarah was baptised Sarah Scott on 20/5/1778 - she married Robert Fisher in January 1799 and had 7 children Mary b 26/09/1799 Longbenton, James b 20/03/1801 Longbenton, Robert b 16/03/1803 Longbenton, Sarah b 3/5/1805 deceased, Sarah b 11/09/1806 Longbenton, Jacob b 11/10/1808 Longbenton  and Elizabeth b 06/03/1811 Longbenton.

When Sarah remarried in 1818 to Samuel Ord they had 2 children Esther Ord b 05/08/1821 and Edward Ord b 30/05/1819 (my ggg grandfather)  ;)

Kind regards

Hi Kim
Pleased we have the same Sarah. According to my research she was the dau of James Scott c1748 (illegit son of Jane c1728) and Sarah Welsh c 1747. Her parents William Welch c 1718 and Mary Hepplewhite c1718. Mary was dau of George Heplewhite c1677 and Sarah Rootlish c1683. It seems they had 10 children, the youngest of whom may well have been the famous George, cabinetmaker. George c1677 was the son of Cuthbert Hepplewhite c1647 and Jane Reed c1650. In turn Cuthbert's father was John Hebblewhaite c1620 and his father George c1585.
I hope this is of interest. Best wishes, Jon.
