Sarah O'Neill 1899
« on: Tuesday 12 February 08 17:48 GMT (UK) »
This is the details of a Great Aunt who I found a birth and Baptism Record for. The family where split after Eliza McAuleys death. The other members of the family including my grandfather met in later life. But no living members of my family Know about Sarah. I have two questions

1. If she died in childhood how could I find a death record
2. Do these details ring any bells with any rootchatters.

Would her mother have been alive and listed in 1911 census? one of the questions for married woman was how many children they'd had and how many were living.
Any idea of where the rest of the family were buried? maybe she was buried in a family plot or different section of same graveyard (sometimes there's a separate section for babies and small children only).
Have you found the family in 1901 census?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

1 . No mother died between 1901 and 1911 -1903 I think.
2. I know where her brothers ie my granda and greatuncle are burried but not her parents. her other sisiter died at around 90 and is in her husbands plot. All are burried in Milltown Cemetery. Belfast
3. Yes Found family in 1901 census and sarah is not on it. (thats why I think she may have died.

I have been collecting information from Emerald ancestors for O'Neils' from Belfast as my great/great/great grandmother was Mary O'Neill and she married Bernard Stuart 5th Feb 1842 in St.Patrick,s R.C. Belfast. On baptisms sponsors I gathered other O'Neills' and witnesses to several marriages, which when I checked out they married other members on the family perimeter,so I have double checked with Ulster Historical Foundation and other sources.
I know that several of Mary Stuart's siblings went to work in shipbuilding in Barrow-in Furness.Hope this assists in your quest. John
