how exciting to hear from you! I am also related to Jane Flockhart and John Michael through Andrew John Michael. Andrew John's son John Michael was my grandfather. I have done quite a bit of research on the Michael family and I had linked them to Kirkhill but i had no idea about Jane working at Moniak Castle. If you would like me to send you the information that I have collected so far to see if it matches up with your research let me know and I can email you what I have collected so far.

Hi belmichael64,

I have just started investigating my family tree, and noticed that the Andrew Flockhart and Jane Scobie, are also part of my ancestory. Isabella ( daughter of the above) married My GG Grandfather, David Dunbar, 14/07/1869.

Now I believe they had only 1 child ( John 1869- 1933 ) who married Elsie Victoria Lawrence. They had 2 children ( I believe) , Robert and Duncan ( Duncan is my Grandgfather).

I have indeed got Isabella and David Dunbar in my tree and also their son John. I believe Isabella married again to a John Wishart in 1878 in Edinburgh. I'm glad your still monitoring. I noticed you last post on this was in 2008, so I thought I had missed an opportunity.

Isabella may have remarried, as I believe my GG Grandfather passed away later that year ( reason unknown to me ).

If you do have any information, I would certainly appreciate the assistance!!
