Marriage, Birth Lookup John Goodwin please

Hi everyone,

Can anyone help with a John Goodwin abt 1770 married Amelia (?) in1790 perhaps in Greenwich. Amelia was tried at Maidstone for stealing and was sent to Australia aboard the Speedy.

I am sorry this is not much information, I have no idea what Amelia's maiden name was.

Hi Lea,
I have an Amelia Ann Goodwin who came to Aust on "Kitty" as a convict in1800. She married James Rixon another convict in abt 1800.
Is this the one???

Hi Carolyn,

Yes this is my Amelia, only we have her as arriving on the "Speedy."  I am a direct descendant of James and Amelia's son James..(one of the triplets). I was hoping for any information on Amelia's husband John, whom she was married to before she was sent to Australia. although there is no record of her marriage to James there is a record of her marriage to Burrows after the death of James. Do you have anything on John Goodwin that you would be willing to share?

Dear Lea,
I am sorry I was away on hols when I did the last post. It is "Speedy" and I also come off James and Elizabeth (Hoare) and then through William Rixon and Agnes Findlay.
I have seen that marvellous site and do have lots more on the Rixons ,but only a short reply today as just in.
I probably don't have much on Goodwin but will look .
