I see that you say in previous posts that she was b, Lesmahagow, Lanark - possibly this one:
25 August 1756, Mary Wier, daughter of William Weir and Marion Pait, Lesmahagow.
(I wonder if the Pait came from her mother?)
If she lived over that side, she might have taken various routes through the borders. For example, down to Carlisle and across.
Alternatively, she might have travelled via Edinburgh and then down the coach road (old A1) via Berwickshire and into Northumberland.
