Linda,  It is around the same time.  A Joseph Hillson b 1847 Little Staughton married Elizabeth Partridge in Eaton Socon; & he did have a number of younger brothers.  His father had a number of brothers each potentially providing sons, but I have not really researched the Hillson/Hilson family, as it is one of my out-lying branches.

In column 7  x mark of Esther Woodham  Mothers Union House Eaton.

Thomas Woodham  married Martha Edis 31/10/1879. marriage certificate no father for Thomas, Martha had Robert Edis. Witness: William Hardwick & Mary Ann Cox so now I will go back to his Mother. Many Thanks for your Help

where was the workhouse in St Neots Bedfordshire in 1871 and are there any records of the people in there. Thank you

I believe it was on Brook Street, near the junction with South Street.

the workhouse is in great north road eaton socon,i drive past it everyday,its flats now by the way.

Maybe the later one, but that would be Eaton Socon.

St Neots workhouse was on Brook Street. The building is still there. I walk past it going to the pub.
