Hi again Donna,
This site is about tracing ancestry as opposed to tracing living relatives.  So, it is not the best forum for you for tracing your brothers or sisters.

IF the (*) Rennie we found in St Rollox born in 1934 is your dad, it appears he died in Scotland (Ayrshire) in 2001.

This is supposition, based on the fact that you think (*) was born in St Rollox.  The death record will show who registered the death.  Perhaps a son or daughter, or another living relative?

If you are sure his birthday was 14th August, spending the £12 for the birth record I mentioned would confirm whether or not it is the correct person, because it would show the exact date of birth.  Then you could go for the death record??  - it's a starting point.

I wish you luck,

Dave

There is a member who has a (*) Rennie born Scotland 1930

You could try contacting them to see if it is the right (*)

Dear mod, (MonicaL?)
I don't often disagree with you, but haven't you gone OTT with the censorship of this post?
Donna has made it clear that Mr Rennie has died.

I also mentioned to Donna about RC attitude to living rellies.

Limited ' details' stated are public record.

So, boo hiss at your censorship on this occassion.   :P   ;D

Boo, hiss I will take on the chin Dave!

We have to remember that Donna's search is not straightforward. Her father will likely have living children/descendants who may not be aware of Donna and the situation. A on line open forum is not the way for anyone to discover this information about a close relative/parent....

Hopefully with all the advice provided (or any via private message), Donna will have good pointers on how to proceed further.

Monica
