1881 census
«

Hi, I know this may be an old question but can someone tell me what time of the year was the 1881 census taken as I have someone who died in March but is on the census, I was told the census was taken in April so you can see my dilemma.
Thanks

Are these available/searchable anywhere?
I didn't think there was a census until 1841?
Would sure fill in some gaps if they are.
