Hello, Could anyone help me find the death of Susannah Ewers nee Harris she was the wife of Edward Ewers, Edward died Dec 1909 according to the register on freebmd, but i can find nothing on Susannah she was born 11 Feb 1849, she was alive when her husband died and was on the 1881 census in Watts Yard Oxford.  I would be greatful if someone could have a look for her for me, as i don't live in the Oxford area. Thank You

Hi

Don't worry - you don't need to live in the Oxford area to find her death as the GRO index covers all England counties

Have you looked at the partially transcribed index on freebmd?
freebmd.rootsweb.com

As she may have died in the 1920’s, death transcriptions for those years are very thin on the ground  so you need to search the full GRO index  which is available at your nearest main library if you live in England.

It can also be searched online if you have an Ancestry subscription or at www.findmypast.com which is a paysite
