Hello,
I see you are researching William Gemmell in Burnbank Row, Rutherglen. I have some info on the family if you are interested but you may already have it.

Poppysmum, I have Rae folk in Burnbank Row, off Rutherglen Road, Little Govan. This was quite a bit east of Govan-proper. They were mostly coal miners. I have Rae folk buried in the Southern Necropolis and Burnbank Row was, I believe, in this area.

The William Gemmell (coal miner) in my tree married Jane Drummond in 1876. His parents were David Gemmell & Jane Rae.

I also see that William Gemmell's sister, Jane, married William Rae. She was a millworker and also lived in Burnbank Row before and after she was married. Her husband was a coal miner too.
