Manchester (Hulme) 1861/71 lookup please

Could anyone please look up Annie  COWAN, who was listed on the 1881 census as living at 4 Ripley Street, Hulme with her son Edward and others.  I would be particularly interested to track down any details of her husband, probably Arthur William COWAN.

I'm really stuck on this side of the family, could anyone please help??

Nothing comes up for those names(or variants thereof). It may well be that they are in Ireland (unless you have additional info to place them in England)?
