just got round to doing my family tree and i have found a john shaw married to a jane o'neill  on the 12/08/1850 at ballymena 1st presbyterian church.
(emerald ancestors site)

John shaws father was called john who may have been a farmer.

on the griffiths valuation i found a farmer called john shaw and his son john shaw jnr who were tennant farmers of rev william o'neill in 1862

dont know if any of these peolpe are linked ie william o'neill to jane o'neill
and i'm not 100% sure that  john shaw (jnr) from drumramer is jane o'neill's husband.

I'm not 100% sure they are the right shaws in my lineage, i got to 1848 with my shaws and i've hit a brick wall the records dont exist and i find myself having to use creative thinking to match people up...not really scientific I know
but i hope it might help in some way

My O'Neills came from the Falls Rd, Belfast as did, The Shaw's, who married in to the Donnelly's also from The Falls Rd, who were all of the RC religion.
