Census Lookup 1901 for O'Neill

Hi,

On my g grandfathers maariage certificate it states his address as 4 Mill Rd , Motherwell.The marriage took place in 1907 and I am trying to make a timeline of when the family moved to Scotland.


Frank O'Neill, 4 Mill Rd. , Motherwell- Railway Brakesman.

I tried on Scotlands People to look up the address and I must be putting in something wrong , as in parish or something.

What I want to know is if they were living in that home in 1901 or who owned the home. And if his parents were in the home also. On the marriage certificate it states this about the parents.

Frank O'Neill retired coachman
Catherine Feeney- deceased in 1904

I haven't been able to find a death date for her yet.

Do you have a birthyear and birthplace please?

People moved around a lot in those days and there are 6 years between the census and his marriage so it is easier to look for him alphabetically on the 1901 to see where (and if) he was in Scotland at that time

Frank O'Neill born circa 1877 in Kilieigh, Co. Cork. Got married in Scotland at age 30 in 1907.

He married a Teresa Farrell , born in Ireland and was living at 230 Brandon St. Motherwell. She was 27.

I found her in the Census but not him or the Mill Rd address.

Frank O'Neill 24 b Ireland - ploughman on farm

Did he have a brother William as there is a William O'Neill 22 b Ireland also working on the same farm as a farm servant cattle man

Yes he did have a brother William and a brother Thomas.

Does this say they were born in Ireland. ?
