That is great Frances, thanks.
Would there be any record stating Joan Goodfellow was a widow of a Noah Goodfellow?

Hi Wisby,

The only records that I have that might help you is the birth below of a Noah with the parents of Noah and Joan and a burial record of a Noah. Whether this is the same Noah who was the baby's father I do not know. It is possible that the Christening was much later than the birth and the deceased Noah was the father. If someone local could look at the original Parish Records it may help you answer some questions.

Hope this may help. Frances

Hi Frances,
I have that information on Noah the son, I think he came to Australia with Moses and his death registration names Noah as father which makes me think Moses was his stepfather.
I will try to find something on the parish records.
Thank you very much for your help.

The Online Parish Clerk Project includes transcriptions of some Fovant Parish Records.

Moses was christened 19 March, 1810.

It would appear that his mother, Hannah, was buried at the age of 33, 11 June, 1814. The baby Deborah was christened after the death of the mother. Very sad.

A Francis Goodfellow was buried 8 Feb, 1837. He was 73.

Noah Goodfellow was christened 6 March, 1803, son of Charles and Maria.

According to an extracted entry on the IGI, young Noah's parents were Noah Goodfellow and Joan Smith who married 21 May, 1827, St. Mary, Wilton by Salisbury.

I see that there are a couple of earlier births attributed to Francis Goodfellow and wife Diana and/or Dina so perhaps Francis married more than once. The marriage from the IGI makes no note that he is a widower but if he is so much older than his bride it seems quite possible that it might be so.
