i am getting so confused over all these Brimacombe threads and Deb beats me to the look ups all the time too  ;D ;D

it would be easier (for me) if you put all the detailson the one thread of who you have got and what you are looking for.

Hi all  :)

I am having a problem finding Mary Bessie Frain/e prior to 1901 ...

I think she's the Mary Friend here:

A quick look through BMD shows that the family were called Frain  :)

1871 shows Charlotte and John Frain on their own (John born ca. 1844 Frithelstock).

Thanks for finding her .... I had seen the Friend family and had checked original which was clearly 'Friend' ... I should have taken it a step further , like you ... Brilliant!

Have you figured out the Walter/ Hancock surname situation ? Did Charlotte just drop the Hancock or do you think it's a mistransciption.?
