Hi Jim,

Does your list give the licensee and/or the address of each pub?

Cheers,
Stovepipe

Hi Stovepipe,

These websites may be useful when searching for a pub ...

Many thanks, Jim - that's a great resource.

Seems like there were two or three pubs in Parade, but none with the right street number or licensee.

My subject, Alfred Street, married a woman 15 years older than himself (according to the 1881 census).  I wonder if she was a licensee before the marriage?  When I find out her former name I might revisit your site looking for her.

Thanks again,
Stovepipe

Thanks, Jim.

And thanks to your pub list I've found a James Street at the Swan Commercial Hotel.  Now Alfred had an older brother James whom I've not yet researched.  I wonder ...
