Hi,

I'm new to the site and tyring to trace my Kane family from Dunbartonshire back to Ireland. Have gone as far as I can with the Scottish records and like many have hit a brick wall when it comes to Ireland.
I have a Martin Kane Cain or Kean born Ireland c1801 parents listed on his Scottish death record as Patrick Kane and Sarah Conroy. Martins  first wife Bridget McDonnel who I assume he married in Ireland as I can't find any other record of her or their daughter Bridgets birth c1838.
His second wife Hannah Price previously Cook mothers name Ray he married in Scotland but can't find her Irish birth either.
I have loads of Kane records and some others from Dunbarton and Renton if anyone needs a look up.

I'm new to Rootschat and noticed you have some details of Kanes in Dumbartonshire. Have you anything on William Kane (Kain) and wife Hannah Carlin or their family. They settled in Duntocher between 1845 and 1850. William is my ggg/father. And lived in New Street and Daviesland.
