Forgive me for asking this on another thread (Northampton)
does any one know if Kettering Northants is covered on the Burial index.
As I have 4 lines in this area it might be worth me trying to buy a copy

The NBI has 3,268 Kettering burials from 1813-66.
Don't cry because its over. Smile because it happened.

If it's just Kettering, it might be worth joining Family History Online:
http://www.familyhistoryonline.net/
They have the most up to date NBI info and it's very cheap.

I don't believe that it's true that Family History Online's version of the NBI is the "most complete". What is true is that the version on CD (currently at 2nd edition) has different coverage to that on Family History Online, which in turn is different to that on Find My Past. Records on the CD are not on the FHO version and vice versa; ditto, I think, FHO and Find My Past. The coverage on Find My Past is at
http://www.findmypast.com/national-burial-index-coverage-counties.action
-- the Kettering burials are on Find My Past so if you've got a subscription you may as well look there rather than paying on FHO.
The Federation of Family History Societies intends to release a 3rd edition of the CD version sometime --
