I might be a little late in joining in with the conversation about Hannah Craven (parents Joseph and Elizabeth) but Hannah is the sister of my 3 x great Grandmother.  My 3 times great grandmother was a Jane Craven who married a John Hodgkinson in Tarporley in 1845.  I havent done much research on the Craven's till today and Hannah was one Craven I had trouble finding a marriage for but after doing a search found your messages on here with details of her marriage.

Would love to hear from anyone related

Hannah Craven (born 1820) is in my family tree. She was married to Thomas Hitchen on 9 Dec 1850 at St. Boniface Parish Church, Bunbury. In the 1861 Census they were living at Eaton, Tarporley.

Yes, she was the eldest daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth Craven. Joseph was a Stonemason.
In the 1841 Census Hannah was a servant at the farm of Henry Johnson at Utkinton.
Here are the details from her marriage entry in the Bunbury Registers:

9 Dec 1850 (By Banns):

Thomas Hitchen (his X), of full age, Widower, Labourer, Alpraham (Father: John Hitchen, deceased, Labourer) & Hannah Craven, of full age, Spinster, Eaton, Tarporley (Father: Joseph Craven Stonemason).

Witnesses: Joseph Hitchen (his X), Mary Hitchen (her X), William Spencer.

I wonder if there is an ANN or ANNE Craven amongst their children. If so I would very much appreciatte knowing of her, even if she was a cousin of those children any info would be helpful.

Joseph & Elizabeth Craven had 11 children, but none of them were named Ann(e). What other information do you have about your Ann Craven?

Edgar

Hi Edgar,
I'm looking for info on Ann Craven.
I have this much...
Ann Craven born [presumably] 1822 0r 1823 at Eaton Tarporley Cheshire UK
She was christened 10 Dec. 1823 at St.John Baptist Church Chester.
Her mother was Catherine Craven [again presumably a resident of Eaton Tarporley]
Catherine was given to be a spinster at the christening.
No father was identified.

Any help is appreciated
Thanks
