Bad news, Mike! 

Your ancestor is buried in an unmarked grave.  Where his grave is, there are obviously quite a number of unmarked graves, and it is next to the "Public" section where paupers were previously buried in unmarked graves.  I am wondering, if he was unmarried, whether he died without much money and was buried as cheaply as possible by the authorities.  This is very sad.  It would be absolutely possible for you to pay for a plaque to be placed on his grave, if you wish, or a headstone - you'd just need to contact the cemetery by email to enquire. 

Is there any other help I can give you?

Thanks very much Marie, I really appreciate your help and the information you have given me, he did not have any family so I am not sure of his circumstances. I will contact the cemetery.

Wondering if someone would mind taking some grave photo's for me next time your at the cemetery, a picture of the burial spot wheather headstone or not would be great.

Frederick Fairbanks buried 22 Sep 1936 and Annie Fairbanks buried 18 June 1935, buried together at Drayton Cemetery Loc CE8 / Block 10 / Allot 28 / Burial P471.

Walter Charles Tey's buried 8 Aug 1925 at Drayton Cemetery in Section CE7 / Block 1 / Allot 37

I have a photo of the Teys grave.  The other one didn't seem to have a headstone, unfortunately, only bare ground there so I can't even be certain of the exact location.  Couldn't photograph it.

liverpool lass, which religious section is the grave you are interested in?  (eg CE, Methodist, etc, etc).  If you give me that, I'll try to find it for you as soon as I can.
