Thanks to CaroleW & Cas for this information.  Certainly looks
like the correct family and little wonder I could not find them.
Sorry, I did not mention Esther in my message.  I was under
the impression she had died.  Obviously, her death was very
much exaggerated!  Esther does not appear on the 1881
Census so a marriage would seem to be the obvious way to
go now.  Cannot thank people on this site enough, they
put the professional sites to shame when it comes to finding
lost relatives.

CaroleW,
I really can't thank you enough for all this wonderful info.
You have saved me much time and money by giving of your
time and effort.  Other members of my family will think me a
genius, and I will accept all of the glory (only kidding). As my
name will probably suggest, time is something very precious.
I am hopeful that my grandchildren and great grandchildren
will look at this in the future and be made aware of their
roots.  I was born in Wales, so this makes it all the more
important to me. Sincere thanks.

Hi

My husband was born in Wales and spent his first 6 months there - and very proud he is of that fact.  (His mother was visiting her sister during the war)  He gets quite emotional when they play Land of My Fathers at Rugby matches (honest)

Do you already have John Prosser on the 1851 etc?

I'll post the 1851 for Llantillio Crossenny seeing as how I've found him

Pantagoidas farm (I think)  All b Llantillio Crossenny unless shown otherwise

John Prosser 60  farmer - 63 acres b Tregare Monmouth
Ann   67
Thomas   30
John   26
Ann   23
Ann Prosser 96 mother - widow b Bryngwn Monmouth

Grannie ...

Wheyoham  should read 'Wyesham' ... its on the English side of the River Wye, but still technically part of Monmouth, which is in Wales !
