Cathcart Cemetery Visitor
« on: Thursday 17 January 08 22:16 GMT (UK) »
I'm looking for someone who frequents Cathcart Cemetery.  I live in Canada and I have just found out the burial place of my Grandparents.  I know the Section and Lair number.  Looking for someone who wouldn't mind taking a picture of the gravesite for me and emailing it to me.

Thank you

Is it Cathcart Old Parish cemetery?

If so, I've been a few times and will go again for you - it is a 10 minute walk from my house.
There are other posts about this on the boards.
It is always locked but there is part of the wall which I have scaled to gain access.
It is not a massive cemetery and the lair number will not help.
If you let me have names, I'll have a look for you.  I'll wait until it stops raining!  ::)

Here's the previous link - who knows, your family may already have been mentioned.

Hi Dave,
Not sure if it Old Parish but the part they are in says Linn Section, I hope I've attached the map they Bereavement Services sent me,they said they were in 2F, they said if I wished to visit it I could give them a couple of days notice and a worker would take me there, so it may be under lock and key, see if this means anything to you if it doesn't attach please let me know.  I'll try again.

Thanks

Ah. Now that is what I thought.
It's not Cathcart Old Parish.
Linn is a bit further up the road. - My da's there.
Much bigger, modern cemetery - crematorium.
I'll go for you.  Give me time tho'.

It's still not too far from where I live.

Dave
