MOORE / MOOR Ernest Albert. Billericay c 1934

I am interested In MOORE/MOOR Ernest Albert who died c 1934  Laindon, Billericay and am sure that he was mrd. to my g.mthr Amelia Greenham  and wish to confirm these details.

I have  death details registered  as follows Billericay,  Vol.  4a Page 209  1934  but unable to find the details in spite of searching the ONS BMD.

Can anyone help to confirm the above details as I know that he was very close to my family as he passed away around that date in our house when I was living in Laindon.and the date appears to be within one year as above.

Hoping that someone is able to confirm the above information.

Hi

The reference you quote is a GRO reference of his death which is used when applying for a copy of his death cert

However - the death cert will not confirm a marriage to Amelia but if she reported his death, her name will be on the cert as his widow which would be a good indication

Unfortunately - anybody could report a death so unless Amelia's name is on the cert - you may have no other way of knowing whether it's the right person (unless it was one of their children and you could identify from that info)

he's not in any of the Q's of 1934 - using MOOR and MOORE and looking at both Ernests and Alberts.


System a bit slow so will look at other surrounding years later - any bets on it being earlier or later ?

Thanks for the reply and must say I am a little puzzled that I cannot find his detail as having the reference dtails I thought it would be easy . However I will continue looking.

You are missing which Quarter of the year 1934 - and I've looked at them all.

The Vol and page are probably OK, its the year thats wrong - an order can only be fulfilled based on the Year, its 'Quarter' and then the Vol/Page number - as its possible for Page number to be repeated.

Yes I am quite annoyed  as to where I obtained  the details of the Vol and page ref. and have searched the GRO with no results but the year 1934 ties in with what I recall about Ernest Albert's death and my viewing of his being laid out in our front bed room which makes it even more a mystery in not being able to find the details in the GRO.

So I must keep on searching but thanks for your help and hope that something turns up.
