Hi,

You can try this site:

http://www.worldwar2exraf.co.uk/Aircrew%20Notice%20Board/Aircrew%20notice%20board%20index.htm

You may find someone else from the Squadron who has kept in touch. Probably the best thing to do is to try and find out where he was living at thetime of WW2 and then try a letter to some local papers.

If he was an officer, then there may be additional info (i.e. if he stayed in the RAF and retired later) in the Air Force lists.

Regards,

Ann

Jihn,

Are you sure it was 156 squadron? Did he become a POW as l have a chap with the same name with 49 Squadron. A Sgt as well.

Regards,

Nick
