I'm looking to find out a bit more about an Emma GREEN born circa 1849 in Wimblington, Cambs.
She appears in the following Censi:
1851 Age 2 with her mother and grandparents
1861 Age 12 with grandparents
1871 Age 22 with her step-father, mother and half sister (shown as Daughter-in-law)
1881 Age 32 as a widow, with her half-sister and her husband.
The mother was an Eliza GREEN who went on to marry Martin PARKINSON, when Emma was about 11.
Their daughter is Eliza PARKINSON.
The oddity (that i'm trying to close out) is that Emma GREEN marries George Mann RYDER in 1876 - the marriage is registered under Emma LENDRUM. I can't find a previous marriage for Emma between 1871-1876 so i'm wondering if LENDRUM is her alleged fathers name? It is a prevalent surname in the area.
George died shortly before the 1881 census.
Of further interest (to me, anyway) is that Eliza PARKINSON got married very young - approx 17 - not unheard of but unusual in that family ... and the marriage was in Newmarket rather than that of her family.
Anything of interest appreciated ....
