Oh yes, the White Heather camp has had mentions on this thread  before, thank you Blackburn Fossil  :D  Margaret (Aggiebagwash) was researching it

I started browsing through all the Heaton Park photos on the Images site, there's a lovely one here of the stature "The Runner" that we talked about one time

Does anyone who lived on Buttermere drive in the 50's remember my Mum and Dad who lived at number 13, Rae (nee McInnes)  and Frank Hudson? Rae was the local midwife who had a motorbike to get to  her mums to be. My Dad is now 81 and would love to revive his memories with any photos or information you may have, thanks!

Buttermere Drive wasn't on the Bury Old Rd estate, it was on the other Heaton Park estate, the one off Sheepfoot Lane  :)

Barbara I lived in Heaton Park Prefabs until about 1962. We lived on Thornhust Avenue, In fact I just met two young ladies that lived there also in Virginia, USA. One was on holiday and the other actually lived here in Virginia. We had such a good time remenising about our childhood even though we had not seen each other in half a century sounds along time I know lol. We lived at the opposite end to you the same side as the school was I think it was Parkside. I have registered in my maiden name so people will know me!
