David Lawson & Agnes Fitzsimons

Is anyone doing research on David Anderson LAWSON & Agnes Wright FITZSIMONS ?
They were married in Toronto Canada, but a male child James Mitchell LAWSON was born to them in Glasgow in 1925, so I'm unsure if Agnes was Canadian or not, or if David was born in Canada, and returned to Glasgow, or born in Glasgow and went to Canada......confused .......so am I

Hi Tassie,

I'm not doing research on the family, but there are two births in Scotland for a David Anderson Lawson. One in 1897, one in 1899, but both in Dundee, which makes me wonder if they are both to the same family. This could be the second David in 1901:

If David or Agnes died in Scotland before 1957, you will also be to get their death certificates, which will give details of their parents.

I have looked at the IGI but came up with zero for either birth nor marriage. The adress I have for when their son James was born in 1925 as Oran St Glasgow and when he came to Australia in 1949 his address was c/0 Kerr, Sunnylaw Street, Possilpark, Glasgow, and his next of Kin was listed as Thomas Lawson, c/p McIntyre, Ashgill Rd, Possilpark, Glasgow,so naturally I assumed his parents would have been from Glasgow as well, so I guess it's back to the drawing board, so to speak

In Scotlands People searched on Agnes Fitzsim*ons birth and got 4 pages.  Narrowed it down to Agnes Wright Fitzsim*ons date range 1870 to 1907 and it shows 1 then narrowed it to 1890 to 1907 and it is still showing 1.  Could this be yours.

I went to that site but found it hard to navigate to some up with the 1 you did. I might try and get to the IGI place here as soon as they open again after their Christmas break and see what I can find there.

Hi Tassie,

Are you putting the middle name Wright in the correct box.   Try Scotlands People with
Fitzsimons  in the surname box and Agnes Wright in the forename then 1890 to 1907 in the year range.  Leave the District to All District and it should come up with 1 and 1 credit to search.

Did it say anything about their children? The info I have on James Mitchell LAWSOn, who migrated to Oz in 1949 gives his next of kin as Mr Thomas Lawson, so this must have been his brother, not his father as I first thought.

I have noted different spelling to. I know with my Liddel research they spell the name in so many different ways, just to confuse me even more
