The Badge looks like the Royal Artillery but wasn't 15 too young to join up? Also was that the dress uniform ( blues) as I would have thought the Khaki would have been the usual uniform colour ?  Oooer did Uncle Bill fib about his age ? ;D ;D ;D

hello Poll

We are pretty sure he would have had a khaki uniform, this is why I asked Jim if he could do another copy with eye colour change.

I am sure on many occasions he has lied about his age, but on this one he was telling the truth, it was the Royal Artillery boys battalion, he joined at 15 years and 7 months and this photo was taken 8 weeks later

Dear Liz

I am so sorry to hear of your sad loss.

He looked such a lovely gentleman, as I am sure he was. I feel sad too, as I felt we had got to know him a little through his photos.

Thinking of you. Take care, Judy

Best wishes, Judy :-))
