Another link is that his grandson George Gainsford Dixon married Emma Matilda Harvey on 29 August 1866. This is Neil Perry's ancestral line and he might have some information on the Harveys.

I have a Matthew Barnard Harvey mar to a Mary Whittle in my husbands family tree. Also noticed various books and court cases. Also article about John Whittle Harvey arrived in Quebec Canada in June 1835 & opening a bank where he succeded in robbing the people of Quebec of considerable amount.
Matthew Barnard Harvey & Mary Whittle had a daughter who my husband is decended from.
 Elizabeth Whittle Harvey who mar 5 April 1806  Emmanual Reeves. Their marriage was announced in La Belle Magazine.

I have been looking to see if other members of the family had gone out to Australia in the early years. as Martha seems to have been in Tasmania by herself living with the Marzetti family prior to her marriage.
