Hi Linda.

Our greatgrandfathers were brothers from Shanvoley Parish of Turlough Co Mayo. martin and Mary ann Neary were first cousins to my grandfather John Neary and Dottie was a second cousin to my father Peter Neary born 1917.
Did Dottie play the Hornpipe?  Did the family move from Ireland?  Ilive in the UK

Would love to hear more about the family

Ann zxc

I am not sure about the Hornpipe, but I have heard she taught someone to "dance the hornpipe"
I believe I have heard of you already, from a cousin of yours in Rochester, NY.  I have also been in contact by phone to a cousin of yours in Foxford.  I am very glad to be in contact with you.
How do we get in contact .
I know lots of info on that part of the family.  Sadly there is only one living member of the family, but she is a wealth of information, and has sent me all of her saved information which I have been plugging in.

Hi all:
I am wondering if my gr gr grandparents; Martin Neary and Cathine O'Malley from Castlebar, Co Mayo were not connected to your family.
I have found via DNA Neary cousins in Rochester, NY (where I grew up by the way) but no documentation directly connecting Martin who settled in Geneva, NY to those Rochester cousins.
My grandmother was a Campbell. Her parents were Joseph Henry Campbell and Mary Neary (daughter of Martin and Catherine) and they lived in the Geneva area as well.
Looking forward to a reply.
Best regards from Western NY
Chuck
