George Clark and Ann Hendry
« on: Sunday 06 January 08 10:56 GMT (UK) »
George Clark b 1777 Middle Paisley married Ann Hendry b 1778/1781 Middle Paisley, on 12.06.1802 in Low Paisley.

Children were
Rachel b 30.06.1807
Jane b 02.01.1809
Ann b 28.06.1811
Margaret b 03.04. 1815
George b 25. 04. 1817
I think died when he was about 6 years old.

I cannot seem to find the whereabouts of this family have tried both the Scotland and England 1841 and 1851 Census, but to no avail.

Can any one help me please, maybe it`s looking me in the face and i can`t see it ::)
Regards, Nicola

The likelihood is that both George and Ann were likely to have been dead by 1841 - since you believe son George died young this leaves the girls who were no doubt all married by 1841.   Unfortunately, with a name like Clark there are too many possibilities on IGI to state which ones would be yours.

Thanks for that.
I have tried to find the deaths for George and Ann, also marriages for the girls.
I think george and Ann may have had other sons  George, c 1823 and John c1823.
George 1823 married Catherine Dunlop Ballantyne.

Dear Nicola,
George Clark and Ann Henry (Hendry) are my husband's direct ancestors. They had George Clark b 1823 John Clark 1830 and Margaret Clark b 1832. Both parents must have died before 1841 Census as I cannot find them. The three youngest siblings were brought up by their second eldest sister Jane Rae Clark  b 2 Jan 1809, who married Jonathan Allwood  24 Oct 1831, Glasgow. You will find them all  in 1841 and 1851 Census. John is still with her in 1861 Census.
I have an extensive tree if you are interested.
