Hello all correspondants.
I am so pleased and impressed with such a good response to my post. With regard to the suggestion by Amanda t, James Collis and Ada Morley were married 12th November 1918 at St. Barnabas church in Epsom (they were due to be married 11th November 1918, Armistice Day, but ended up travelling around London on an open-top bus and married next day instead). The marriage certificate gives them as resident at Lower Court Road, so St. Barnabus church would seem a likely first option.
Hopefully there will be more to come, but if not I will contact the record office at Woking.
In the meantime, many, many thanks to you all.
Regards,
Scobie
