There is an entry in the IGI for the birth of a Katherin Sutherland or Anderson, mother Marjory Anderson. However this is a
submission not an
extract and should be treated with caution.
You should now be able to find Alexander’s wife’s death on
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk as you now know she survived until at least 1871. A quick check shows that a Margaret Anderson, maiden name McIntyre died in Elgin in 1884 aged 75 years. This could well be her.
