1861 census look-up Marylebone,please
« on: Monday 03 January 05 22:06 GMT (UK) »
I"d be most grateful if some one could look-up my Gt.Grandfather on 1861 census . Tom Knox was born at 33 Park St., Marylebone in Sept. 1860.
Parents details as on birth cert-
     Father- John Knox, Engine driver
Mother- Elizabeth , nee Tindel. (or any other spelling)
Theres a good chance that they were still at this address in 1861 and that  there are more siblings.

       Many thanks, Viv

Hi Viv
They are not at 33 Park Street, but hopefully this lot might fit the bill

1 James Place, Paddington (Piece 009, Folio 134b)
John Knox Head Mar 45 (No occupation given) Scotland
Elizabeth Wife Mar 40 Yorkshire ?????
Robert Son Unm 17 Railway Labourer Yorkshire ?????
Jane Dau Unm 13 Yorkshire ?????
Elizabeth Ann Dau 7 Northampton Peterborough
David Son 5 Warwick? Birmingham
Thomas Son 6mths Middx Marylebone

Sorry I can't make it all out but from your info they look pretty likely.

Regards
Del

Hi Del ,
It certainly was the right family of Knoxs that you found for me. I"m so thrilled. You are a real star !!!! Smiley, smiley, smiley. You even took the trouble to look for them when they weren"t to be found at the possible address that I gave..
       Thankyou  so much, again.
                    Regards, Viv
