Hi Jenda,

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

please add your surname interests to the Surname Interests Table (SIT) (see link at bottom of page.

This board is just for (technical) stuff about the SIT itself.

For more information about your names, you are better off with seperate queries on the relevant County boards.

Good luck,
Bob

Hi Jenda - I have a Robert Henry Connolly b. Co Donegal c. 1850.  Only information I have on him is that his father was named John who was probably born c. 1830.  There could be a connection to Ballyshannon and the surname Moran may be connected.

Robert Henry Connolly was a Donegal born member of the RUC/RIC.

He went to New Zealand shortly after his marriage in Co Monaghan in 1876.

Do you have any knowledge, please.  Thanks and regards Dinny.

Hi Dinny

The only information I have is Catherine Connolly born c1841 was my maternal great great grandmother, she married Patrick McCool, they lived in Ballyshannon, here she stayed and had quite a number of children,  :(I am afraid I have not been able to find out any more iformation, I have searched through the parish registers at the local LDS, but unfortunately they only have the record from 1856.
I would be very and greatfull and interested in any information you can give me, as this is my massive brick wall, and I have no living relatives on my mothers side who I can ask.
Kind regards
Jenda
