1851 census lookup for Aberavon - LLEWELLYN

Hi I am trying to find my great grandfather x 3 Thomas Lewellyn born about 1842 ,in the 1851 census for the town of Aberavon.  I am hoping to find out who his parents were through this and  would be grateful if anyone could help. Regards Lemmons

Abervon according to my map is part of Neath, would the following be your family in 1851

1851 Census, Quan Neath, Glamorgan, Wales
Thomas Llewellyn, Head, Aged 48 Labourer, Widower
Mary Llewellyn, dau, aged 18
David Llewellyn, son,  aged 12
Thomas Llewellyn, son, aged 8
Rees Llewellyn, son, aged 5

If this is your family, the mothers name is Eliza, there is also a child Catherine aged 5 in 1841 but not with the family in the 1851 census.

This is difficult to determine which is yours, as there is a likely in Margam and Briton Ferry as well as the one posted

Do you have any marriage details for your Tom to determine his father, without a link it is only spec.

Hi I think that Thomas may have married a Mary Morgan and I have found a Thomas Llewellyn who married a Elizabeth Jenkin in Neath so I am wondering if this is the Eliza mentioned.  Regards Lemmons

Hi Lemmons, I think you need to get a birth cert for one of the children for Thomas/Mary to confirm maiden name...then marriage cert for them...with fathers' names etc.  how will you know which is yours without the links....
